Buckwheat (whole grains) are cooked just like rice---
Two cups water, bring to boil. Add 1/2 tsp salt; 1 cup buckwheat. Turn to low---simmer until done.
Use like rice with vegetetables, or sweeten with honey and add whatever you usually add to oatmeal.

Buckwheat doesn't like his cereal cooked. He likes it cold with some milk on it. He says it's "Ooo-tay!"

Same way you put hot milk on Grapenuts Cereal or Oatmeal.

No you don't eat it raw, I'm pretty sure you just boil it like you would with oatmeal until its soft enough to eat.
