no but could be due to after having enlarged or inflamed tonsils that gave you a sore throat removed
you are eating more as the discomfort and soreness is gone

Welcome to the club! That's what happens when you get old-- you have to eat a lot less and exercise a lot more just to NOT gain weight, let alone lose it. I'm 38 and had to bust my *** and really make an effort to lose 20 pounds over the past 5 months. I used to eat anything I wanted and never gain an ounce, but that changed after 30. Don't give up the wine, but eat less and exercise more. I'm going to turn 40 in better shape and skinnier than I was when I was 18! You can too!

BUT IF YOU HAD ALOT OF TONSILLITIS AND LOST ALOT OF WEIGHT DUE TO TONSILLITIS , YOU MAY GAIN BACK THE WEIGHT YOU LOST PLUS MORE
