When I met my wife she had four children. Talk about kids....sheesh
What I am trying to say is that all her children are beautiful and she also is a beautiful lady. Her husband died in prison for some unkown reason and she gets a Social Security check each month to help take care of her children and she worked as well and her Mother babysitted.

When I started to date her and found out what real nice person she was, the children follow their Mother is every way. I fell in love with her and her children and raised them youngins as my own. Then she got pregnant and had my son born in 1985

It was not easy for us to raise all of these kids, but I will tell you this, if it weren;t for the children I wouldn;t of done better in my life and graduated from College myself to make more money.
It has been on giant struggle and I have no regrets. Children make the best of us as parents I think and if I had to do it all over again, I will when the Grandchildren start coming...lol

We have been married 24 years.
Branden is in College
Terry is in High School
Lisa is in Grade Shool
Sabrina is in a Technical College and by the way update on her, she is engaged to a Police Officer here in Columbus and they plan to wed this spring. Life is wonderful isn;t it!!!

And Ramon my Son by birth is in College

depends on 1) how old he is 2) How many kids he has himself. 3) whether he even wants kids and 4) If the woman was single when she had the kids.

If he's 22 then no he doesn't have to accept it. There are plenty of girls out there that don't have kids. Reality says that the kids should be #1 in the life of their mother. Is a 22 yo emotionally ready to be in a relationship where he's always #2? Doubtful

If he already has his own kids though, why would he expect her not to....seems a bit unfair.

If he doesn't want kids then he shouldn't compromise. He'll end up resenting that fact and eventually the relationship will fall apart. That's not good for the kids or them.

Lastly, if she was single when she had the kids then it's quite likely she was irresponsible once (yeah yeah I know that the condom "broke") and it's very possible that it would happen again. If he's not ready to be a dad then run...if he doesn't mind that thought and can afford to take care of ALL the kids then stay.

I know this sounds harsh...but when you have kids your entire life changes. And that changes the nature of any and all future relationships. Something to think about when you're 18 and pregnant.

If you really care about this woman or are showing a sincere interest in her then I would say YES you should accept that she has children. Chances are she's not looking for a man to be her "baby's daddy." Most cases she's looking for someone who will accept the fact that she is a package deal and won't judge her for that. It's hard enough for a single mother to re-enter into the dating field and to have people choose not to be with her because she has kids I think is plain crappy. Most single mother's are looking for someone to share some adult activities, NO, i'm not talking about sex or anything like that, I'm saying most mothers are subjected to: Barney, Barbies, G.I. Joe, playstation etc. a lot of kids stuff so they just like the fact that they are meeting someone who isn't interested that The Wiggles arent on TV.

Give her a chance. You may grow to really love her and her children!

Yes. If the relationship is going to work, you have to take the entire package. If you are not willing to love her kids, how can you say that you love her? The fact that she has kids is one of those in the past kinda things that you can't change. You can't halfway do this, it's got to be all or nothing.

Yes men have to remember just as women do with men and kids that it is all one big package...you can't just love the parent and not the kids...it will make the relationship fade real fast

Yes you should understand that if this person has kids then there must be a reason for the fact that he has the kids! how stupid can you get. Sorry I have some of my own problems with guys with possibly one kid he won't tell me.

Yes if you had them before meeting him. Be careful though, not all men can love another mans children like they would their own. Any uncertainty about his capability to love your children and youn need to get a different man.

Kids are a blessing and if he really loves the woman he will love the kids even more, even if they're not his.

He should, absolutely. If he wants to be with someone that badly, whether or not they have kids shouldn't hold any effect on that.
