A couple of suggestions from a expert....
#1. Don't speak to fast. Listen to speeches by Mandela or ML King. They speak overly slowly and calmly. This 'll give you "weight".
#2. Try to lower your voice. Lower voices are more interesting and trustworthy to listen to.
#3. Pick your battles. Speak when you can really contribute. If you want to contribute and do not have anything sensible to say, then spend your time contempating the arguments and come up with something good at a later time.
#4. Don't give a sh*t about what they think of you or if they at all listen to you. You know you are right, when you are right. If the poor bastards do not listen, they lose, you don't, now do you?

Remember this very important phrase: you cannot change people, places or things...you can only change your reaction to them.
If you are trying to get them to listen to advice, that will be like trying to teach a pig to sing. Wastes your time and annoys the pig, right?
If you want them to understand who you are and give them insight into why you feel the way you do, well, perhaps you are not choosing the right people to let into your life. Those who care about you WILL listen.
And here's a Q-tip .. quit taking it personally. Folks get wrapped up in their own burdens and, for the most part, simply cannot focus on others. It isn't on you...it's on them.

In what situation are you referring to? It all depends what you want to say. If you have something to say then present it in an articulate and professional manner and have your facts straight. Make sure you can grab their attention and the topic is of interest to your target audience. Speak with passion and honesty and you will have people listen to you.

You can't "get" anyone to do anything. Figure out why it is important for them to listen to you. I think if you stop trying to get them to listen to you, then they will start listening to you.

Look them straight in the eye and tell them that you would like their attention for the time that you need it. Tell them the subject is important to you.
Continue to look them in the eye, and never seem distracted so that you can keep them focused on what you have to say.
...My best wishes go out to you<33333

find caring people to talk to and associate with...stay away from selfish people that only care about themselves...join clubs you are interested in and maybe make friends that way then you have something in common to talk about.
