It will end either as soon as the sun engulfs the earth, or when humans destroy the earth. Chances are, the earth will be destroyed by the overpopulation of humans in a number of a few thousand years or less.

The world will end by either by fire or metaphorical fire.
The Bible says: By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for the fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. (2 Peter 3:7)
Then the verses right after that say that God is taking his time in destroying the earth because he doesn't want anyone to perish.
But then....."The Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare." (2 Peter 3:10)

I'm not really religious, but I'm pretty sure that the Bible says that no man knows the the day or the time, and so far, all the so-called prophets that have been predicting the end, have been incorrect. The Catholic church has an observatory out west, U.S. , that is looking for an asteroid called wormwood, which is mentioned in the book of revelations??? I have also heard that the Russian word for wormwood is Chernobyl, so maybe that points to a nuclear accident.

well every creation of GOD has a beginning and end..... I think the end is not so far but a lot has to come now so it is not so soon either ....I think few(1 or 2) centuries are left...so its not so far .....And for the question of how i can answer that ......it is continuously moving and until it is moving it is holding and pulling things to its center but when it will stop its spin it is its end ....evey thing will be scattered even the great mountains will slit and fly like kites then even the burning volcano could not be held ....in short it will be a terrible thing that will happen...so pray to GOD that we don't see it happen

Possibly Earth will be incapable of sustaining life as we know it in a few hundred years, but the rock itself will still be here, even if it is hit by a comet or two.
