My boyfriend and I work at the same place. About 6 years ago, I found myself attracted to my co-worker. I had never spoken to him before, so I was totally nervous. My friend suggested that I write him a little note. So, I did. I asked him out for a drink, but he took me out to dinner and a movie. We are still together.
How about emailing her, this way if she don't feel the same then you won't be embarrassed.

As HR where I work, I would suggest that you not ask them out at work. If you run into her outside of work maybe, although it may not be the best thing.
Just remember that if it goes wrong you will have to see her everyday at work. That si why so many companies have made it a rule to not date in the workplace. Find that out before you make your final decision, also.

I'd say its off limits, unless you're both the kind of people that don't mind seeing the person they're dating all the time. Then there's the possibility of it not working out... could make things awkward.

It used to be off-limits, but nowadays more and more people date that work together--they have a lot in common--I know, because after 2 1/2 years, I now live with my boyfriend whom I also work with. Slip her a note with your phone number....

Well, personally, I think it could be risky business. Maybe your boss wouldn't be thrilled about it. And what if something happened to your relationship with the co-worker you ask out? It could make things difficult at the office.
However, asking her out in person is always a polite way to do it. Do not e-mail her.

This is tricky, cuz you dont want to **** where you eat. If it doesnt work out, you will have to see her daily, so keep that in mind. If you are just wanting to hang out, maybe see if something could come of it casually, ask her person to person, girls always respect that more.
