I am a divorcing man from a unfaithful marriage who is involved with a woman who broke off a non serious relationship with a man to begin a serious long term relationship with me (phew). This man claimed he loved her and made attemtps to keep her feeling bad about ending the relationship but now just keeps in touch to keep in touch. He emails and corresponds with her via her cell (voice and text msg). She says she likes his friendship and it will be nice when he accepts her choice. She is owed a considerable amount of money from him. Instead of paying a lump sum or check by mail, he insists on giving her cash here and there. She knows I don't trust or like him. She never says in advance that he called with another payment meet (coffee and chit chat normally per her) and it's always an "Oh, by the way..." sort of thing when she tells me afterward. She has never lied to me or been dishonest with me - so why do I feel like I'm being deceived without being lied to?

Tell her that you appreciate her honesty, and that you do trust her.
To prove it, say that you are Okay with her 'meetings' with him.

But mention to her that you don't like to be told only afterwards that you met.....if she really is honest, she'll understand

You are just getting out of a marriage where your wife cheated so its not unreasonable that you feel this way. Besides that she obviously had a sexual relationship with this man and he still wants her. Of course he is going to pay her back little by little so he has a reason to stay in her life. She on the other hand is being totally unreasonable to think that you should be ok with them getting together for coffee and chit chat at this point in the game. Dont let her walk all over you. She needs to end that relationship completely and shouldn't expect you to have to deal with him in her life.
