cymbalta is a good drug, i know quite a few people on it and they all are having great benefits with it, more energy, none of them gained weight, better moods and thoughts. Give it about 6 weeks for the full effect to kick in. Good luck to you. I hope it works out for you too!!

i have been on cymbalta since April 2006.i take 60mg in morning 60mg at night.i have major depression recurrent.disability.i am starting to gain weight.i just bought an ab lounger hoping to stop that before it gets worse.i have good and bad days.at least not all bad.i feel calmer,less moody.at this time,the small gain weight is not enough for me to want off the medication.(20Lbs)

I tried it and gained about 60 lbs on it...I still am struggling to lose that weight too...that was the only bad thing about it that I had with using it...I take something different now though because all the weight gain made my symptoms 10 times worse!

hmmmmmmmmm this is not really an answer because while I've been tempted to try it because depression DOES hurt physically, the main selling point for it is that it helps with the physical pain and no one that answered touched on that at all... interesting

Was going to try it then read the side effect sheet good luck or try St.John Wort, and Ginko Biloba.

My husband was on it and it tore his stomach up. He has had about two years of gastro issues due to that medication. Not to say it won't or can't help others. It didn't help my husband.

it will take any drug like that 4 maybe 5 weeks to really feel a difference.
