I have to disgree with the people here that say you shouldn't. If you want a truly loving, wonderful, and permanent relationship then you HAVE to love the other more than you love yourself. If you are selfish and self-serving, then your relationship and love will fail. That does NOT mean that you do not love or take care of yourself. It means that you love your loved one MORE. That said, it ONLY works if the other person does the same thing. This is the key to true happiness. If you are the only one giving 100% of yourself to the relationship, then it is time to break the ties and end it. If you are both doing it, however, then you will grow together and be happy. It takes work. It takes effort. By golly, I have to say that it is worth every ounce of that love!

I do not know from personal experience from this yet, but I would also imagine that a truly good parent also loves their child more than they love themselves.

nicely.. i does not say i'm in love with him, yet i appreciate this guy. i'm 13, he's 16-ish i imagine, and he's extremely sweet and lovable, yet he's likewise slightly bit a poser, like if somebody else is round that he's conscious (like one in each of his friends or inspite of) he's a JERK. And his friends are complete losers who hang around on the buying centre at evening and crap.

I'm not so sure I love myself. But I respect myself and don't hate myself...I think that is a good place to be.

I think I would distrust anyone who loves themselves.

Yes, I believe that's called a soul mate, and of course always your kids! Isn't it sad how selfish everyone is to say no?

It felt that way when I initally fell in love with my fiance. But that was not the real truth as it is an impossibility.
