Same story here, a lot of us are one in a million winners, and never bother to claim our winnings when we never entered...

Just do a search for "NOKIA N' SERIES ONLINE PROMOTION" and you'll see how common the scam is. All these things generally want you to provide them your account information or money or ID or some such thing to claim a "prize" but then there's no prize. They use your greed against you. You might notice here they want your address and ID (potentially including passport) by email. Right. And guaranteed if you provide it they'll ask for something like your bank account information next.

False. There is no international lottery. This is a Nigerian scam. Check the spelling and look for the word "fiduciary agent". They like to use that. I am a retired Police Officer that has for years investigated Internet fraud and scams. Here is the website for the 17 nation law enforcement task force that investigates cross border Internet crime www.econsumer.gov. You may file a complaint there

My 21 yr old nephew did. They tried to take him for 1500 US dollars to process the papers and legal fees and another 150 to pay for shipping the processing package fed-ex from UK.

Its a scam! type in the winning numbers into a google or yahoo search and you'll get scam alert sites.

Sounds like a scam. If you don't live in that country and didn't enter the lottery then don't respond to the e-mail.
