I find it to be a disgrace because it is not even close to King James. It's good perhaps as a work of literature but this translation should never be a substitute for THE WORD!
(and that's how it is being marketed and sold-as a BIBLE)

Had one in my library, however I tossed it out in the trash due to the content within it. Layman terms are ok, but when the author distorts the Word of God as this author did, it is NOT a Bible, but a bible. (Notice the capital/lower case)
We are told NOT to add to nor take away from God's Word, this author has done exactly what we are NOT suppose to do.
Get rid of it asap!!!

Keep in mind that it is not really a translation but a paraphase. It seems good that people would be reading any translation even though we have our own ideas of what is the best. The King James is not the most accurate---sorry--since more ancient manuscripts have been found since. Jesus, of course did not speak in the "kings language."

And the King James is not even close to the original NT manuscripts. It's not even in the right language.

I have not seen that. Therefore I have no thoughts about it. Careful though because remember how the religious leaders of Christ's time felt about Him.
