The original languages would not be understood by the majority of the people. When I was a child, raised in a Catholic home our church service was often in Latin. I didn't know what the heck was going on. As far as God having imperfect humans interpreting his word, that he does not do. His word is straight forward and truthful. People have a tendency to change his word to fit their lifestyle, pleasing themselves rather than God. I read a question on here posted by a person looking for religion, they had a criteria it had to add up to. Isn't the intent of religion to bring honor and glory to our Creator? The Holy Bible cannot be changed, the message will stay the same no matter what man does to it, one may say "a pearl" while another a "coral" but the message remains the same. It is the INSPIRED word of God. There will however people who will read words into the Bible that just aren't there such as the Trinity or Hell. To argue the point is mute, the words just don't exist but people use other words or statements to validate their beliefs. That's okay, as long as they keep searching, as long as they keep reading the Bible, they will came to know the Truth about our loving Creator and Heavenly Father.

Language changes over time and the meaning of words come to mean sometimes the very opposite of the original. Scholars attempt to translate the original intent of the author by studying the entomology of the text. I believe that is why Jesus taught using parables, because the imagery could easily be interpreted to the heart if not the head.

I have wondered this myself and I have been a Christian for years. The conclusion I have come to is that God wants you to know Him, that is why Jesus Christ came into the world. Jesus, is very straight forward and his commands are easy to understand, a little child could understand what Jesus wants. For us to Love Him and love others. He wants us to invite Himself into our hearts and live in us. However, to really understand the Word of God you must search and study, it takes years. When you go on this adventure God will reward you with giving you a bit more knowledge about Him every time. He does this because we can only contain so much information about God without getting overwhelmed. It is an adventure and well worth the effort.

That is the very reason you need an authoritative and authentic interpreter which is the Holy Apostolic Catholic Church. The Holy Spirit ensures its infallibility in this regard.

Because we are un-perfect....
God gave us Jesus his son and the New Testament, he also gave us the Church and the sacraments to keep us in the Grace of God.
It all works together, that is why I became Catholic.
Peace and God Bless you!
