Yes you do get over a crush and you do forget some of them. As regards 'the one' - it is possible that one will always occupy a space in the back of your mind waiting to pop into the forefront of your consciousness at the slightest hint - the scent of her perfume - a similar laugh - a similar smile - similar eyes and the way she might look at ya!
We never know when the one we are pining for might just be the one waiting for the right circumstances to happen to jump back into our lives or alternatively remain forever tantalisingly distant!
But in the meantime we must move on, put some distance between us and them and find the next 'one'!

Certainly you'll get over a crush. As a matter of fact you may end up laughing about it with the person later on in your life.

if its a crush, yes, you will ABSOLUTELY get over it!! If its true love, you will remember that person until you are old and grey. I am 25, and yes, I had crushes back in school.. and now when I look back , i can't beleive that i was soooooo ga-ga over some of those guys. They wern't as cute as i remembered, or as smart, or as cool... But the one that I loved, and dated for 2 years of highschool.. and couldnt forget about.. well, we are now married with a house and 2 wonderful children.

It depends on how much you cared about that person. Although you may not have romantic feelings anymore, you may still lovingly think about them.
I had a crush once, from the time I was eight up until I was 16. I still think about him sometimes, but there isn't more than a fond memory.

Yes you do get over the object of your obsession, especially if you didn't know them or know much about them. Always secretly liking someone is okay, it depends on the individual.

yes, i get over it, but its very hard, for me I just have to start looking for the flaws and when I realize its no longer a crush, but also u will find the person atractive

As time goes by, your feelings will diminish.
You never fully forget about that person though.
