My fiance has chosen purple and a cream colour. As well there is some light green and gold to be used.

I love weddings and gardening. Peonies are in full bloom in May. They come in many different colors. You do not have to stick with the common expectations of Spring Pastels (especially for an afternoon wedding-the later the more color) I am partial to pink, but you do not have to go for a light shade of pink, and I would not. Try medium to deep pinks, purples, blues. Add white to contrast some. Don't wash everything out because of spring. Remember, spring is FULL of WONDERFUL color! Go for it! Wish I could send you some pictures of some color combo I have done. Purple and yellows are beautiful together. Also, if you want to keep dresses light, put a little bold in your flowers!! In fact that is what I would do. Good Luck!!! -love to give more advise if you want- PINK

Well for afternoon I would say red and maybe orange something that says summer is just around the corner. Use some bright colors but not colors that will be too overwhelming like if it is outside you don't really want to compete with the sun. but inside you should use lots of bold bright colors.
Have lots of fun, it is your day and what ever you pick will work just like the colors.

My advice would be to invest in a color wheel...I know, I know; sounds like an art project gone wrong, right?? Well, a color wheel will actually be able to help a TON!! Your can pick one color you like and go from there...picking 2, 3, 4 or even 5 colors that go really well together. This can be done with minimal effort and can be a lot of fun.

One of the prettiest weddings I've seen was in May and used hot fuschia, bright lime, and turquoise as their colors. I also think tangerine and lemon would be gorgeous! Jazz it up a little :)

Stay away from the complete Easter egg palette. Emerald green would be really pretty or Sapphire blue. Go with gemstone colors.

Of course starting with your favorite color would be the best place to start. Otherwise, think of spring colors and the closer you get to June, the brighter I would go!
