i get "Access is denied" whenever i try to install XP SP2... i tried really hard to do this before and it didnt work so i put it aside and i just worked with all these problems in my comp and not being able to do things with my comps potential...

now i cant take it anymore its pulling my hair out and i need a fix for this thing!!! i came across yahoo answers and it helped me with some questions and if you guys can plz help me with this yahoo answers will reach a new level of respect from me...


please help me out here...

Microsoft will forward you a CD copy of Service Pack 2. Then log on as Administrator and install it directly from the CD.

Did you download sp2 from microsoft? If you are installing, make sure your log on id has administrator access. If not, you will get access denied.

Your ID must be a member of the computer administrator's group AND you must not have a pirated or illegal copy of Windows XP or SP2.

You prbably do not have enuff memory to download the program. Delete stuff you don't WANT, OR DEFRAG. Only other thing would be to get a jump or (ram) MORE MEMORY ON A CARD Good Luck guy
