We have had genocides committed by Hitler in Germany, in Darfur, in Yugoslavia, and in Rwanda to name a few. They are terrible, terrible events by anyone's definition.

So how is The Flood any different? Even if you believe that all the people and bunnies and kitties had fallen and there was nothing positive that god could have done to fix the situation - then why did he have to drown everybody? Couldn't he at least have just pushed the reboot button and started everything over? Why cause such a painful and horrible death?

I fail to see the "Supreme Morality" in God's actions.

You are acting as if God doesn't have a right to judge His own Creation. Yes, everyone was evil before the Flood. Only Noah and his family still followed God. People often wonder why He just didn't push the "reboot" button, or why He didn't just say, "OK, everyone except Noah, die." The reason why He had to use a Flood is that a Flood would leave evidence, whereas a miracle would not. He knew that people in the future would question God and His motives, so He left ample evidence of His judgment upon the Earth.
It was sin that brought death into the world in the first place, so it's really our (human's) fault that all those people died in the Flood. If people had obeyed, God would never have had to send a Flood to destroy the wicked. It's going to happen again soon - Christ will return and the wicked will be destroyed by the brightness of His Coming. If it is God's will to purge the universe of evil, I see nothing morally wrong with this. In fact, it would be the right thing to do.

Do you HAVE a reboot button? I don't. And neither did all of the sinners who lived back then. That was the only way to wash all the sin away and start over again.

So many of you think you're so much smarter than God. Let's see you put your money where your mouth is. Create a viable scenario that does what God wants without doing as He did.

Genocide is the eradication of a national, ethnic, or a religious group.
The story oh Noah's Ark speaks of the eradication of humanity as a whole; not the eradication of a specific group.
Thus, the story of Noah's Ark does not fit the definition of the word genocide.

What actually happened was that aliens washed over the earth, destroying all in sight, leaving only Noah's family and some animals.

It wasn't a true "flood".

The flood was God's judgment on the earth because of man's sin and defiance against Him. God is the Creator of life, so He has the right to take away life with His divine judgment on man.

You assume a god was involved.

It could have been an exaggeration and interpretation of a natural disaster by (relative to today) ignorant people.

He did reboot, and the primary problem was the children of the fallen angels, the skulls of which you may see in museums today listed as missing links.

Nah. Not genocide. He wasn't targeting a specific group. Slaughter yes, but not genocide in this instance.

Check elsewhere in the Bible, you'll find genocide.

It certainly sounds like a mass genocide if you take it literally.I agree with you on that.
