Eat what you like but you must exercise, Dont mess around. If posiible join a gym go at least 3 times a week.

When you get to the gym do some gentle streching some press ups and some sit ups, use the rowing machine for at least 10 mins then the cross trainer again for at least 10 mins. Do at least 20 mins of weights. give it at least 5-6 weeks you will look and feel different. Walk more, drive less ,drink less beer give up smokinging. Dont piss about keep to the x3 a week gym. Most of all find the will power if it rains or snows still hit the gym use the stairs more.

But first of all get you mind in gear, Most if not all battles are won in the mind. All of the above worked for me. it was not easy but im much pleased and im in good shape and fitter than men much younger than me good luck.

I have recently lost 25lbs in the past 4 months. I did not go on a crazy diet or exercise like a mad woman. Instead I slowly started to change my life style. I set small, easy goals because if you think it's impossible- it is. I told myself I would walk once around my house per day (it equaled about 1/4 mile) and I wouldn't eat past 9pm. 2 weeks later, I substitute honey nut cheerios for sweet snacks. I walk 1-2 miles per day now and my diet is much healthier, though I do enjoy a Toblerone now and then. Try one small change per week. It's a lot easier than trying to do it all at once.

your best bet is to start by doing brisk walks as you'll be working in your fat burning zone then. As soon as you start jogging youll be burning carbs which isnt very good if your looking to burn fats. the only way fats will be burned when working at a high intensity is when your carb reserves are low and a higher percentage of fats will be burned. The gym is a waste of time, especially a treadmill as your not pushing your body weight forward, your really in effect just jumping up and down so you don't fall off! fo this to have any effect you need to make su your having a balanced diet. if you waned o incorporate the gi diet into it it wouldbe helpful. eat low gi to keep energy levels sustained and eat high gi foods before and after exercise to replace lost energy!

I have lost over 2 stones in six months by the following method. I would add that I am a fifty year old male, and us types at this age find it harder to lose weight than younger people, for physiological reason.

1. Eat three meals per day. Breakfast is essential (cereal, or grilled lean bacon, tomato and a potato waffle). Lunch - sandwiches on brown. Dinner - see below.

2. For Dinner, eat red meat once weekly, white meat once weekly and fish, once weekly. Grilled steak, stew, curry - all good. For the other dinners, try Asian (particularly Pakistani, Indian, Bengali) vegetable cuisine - you will get good recipes from the web.

3. Do not snack..Avoid fizzy drinks such as Colas.

4. Prepare your food yourself. Bought sandwiches may be full of mayo and other weight-boosting viands. Avoid fast foods above all. If you cannot cook, learn how to do it. Do not buy packaged foods, other than frozen vegetables - buy everything else fresh, and get your meat from a butcher, not from a supermarket. Learn about food in its natural state - Heston Blumenthal and Anthony Worral-Thompson have published good books on this subject. Reserve the books at your library if you want to try before you buy.

5. Allow yourself some treats. A cooked English breakfast once weekly will actually do you good (the fats are needed by the body), but grill rather than fry and get your sausages from a butcher. Drink beer (rather than lager), if you want to. (I drink about 20 pints of real ale per week and I am still losing weight. I've seen my doctor and he is convinced that the weight loss is not due to some awful disease).

To summarise - eat peas. Brussels Sprouts, leeks, onions, carrots, celeriac, aubergines (eggpants), broccoli, calabrese, peppers, boiled potatoes, parsnips, brown bread as much as you like. Lean meat for grilling. (for stewing, use a mixture of flank and shin - you will need some fats or your stews will be dry - much of the fat will cook off). Grilled or pan-grilled fish. Chicken breasts, from a butcher, make excellent curry. A light breakfast is essential.

No fast food or bought sandwiches. No cafe or restaurant meals. No take-aways. No microwave meals. Cook, cook and cook again.

Finally, if you smoke, keep smoking, or ask your doctor of medicine as to what your priority should be - losing weight or giving up smoking. Basic cooking is easy - the book to buy is Ceserania and Kinton's 'Practical Cookery'.

The motto - "anything I do not prepare and cook myself is junk food". And that includes anything you buy from my restaurant - I'm a chef!!!

The calculator will tell you diet requirements based on activity level. It's to text book specifications.

If you contact Joe, tell him my D&D characters want to go do something.

Download your favourite tracks to sort out to. If you’ve committed to a half hour session a day then a 30-minute soundtrack of the very most upbeat, motivating tunes will maintain you pumped up!
