When Rome was still in power, Philo of Alexandria is credited with this quote:

"Be kind; For everyone you meet is fighting a great battle."

Is this, our common situation, not worth considering?

Oh yes you are definitely on to something there. We are all in inner turmoil. Even the godly. Look how Paul wrote about wanting to do one thing and doing another. You can tell you have meditating on God's words and the human condition. We all have pain whether others see it or not and that is so why we should not judge but love and be kind. It is so much easier with people I don't know though. When I'm here I'm pretty kind. My family members are the one's I have the most problem with and yet it says charity starts at home.
You have something here. A priceless spiritual gift. Continue to try and give it and you'll never loose it. However you got it.

I prefer Philo in Dialogues Concerning Natural Religion, a sceptics sceptic!

I prefer using my philo to make baklavah.
