I lied to my boyfriend...?

Question

me and my boyfriend have been together for almost 10 monthes..and about 2 months ago i told him i had a brain tumor and i dont...idk what came over me to tell him that but i did and now his whole family think i have a brain tumor...the last thing i want to do is hurt him because i love him but idk how to tell him

wow that is a big one. u shouldn't play with things like that girl. tell him the truth tell him that the reason y u said was to see what his reaction would be. tell him that u wanted to see how much he loves if u really had a brain tumor. set ur conscious clear don't wait for later now is the time. tell him before he finds out that u lied . good luck

Well its bad that you lied and un like these other ppl i`m not going to call you a name or any-thing but it was bad to tell him a lie brains tumors can end in death and thats serious so i guess to undo what you did tell him the truth then ask the lord 4 forgive-ness he won`t like it but i`m sure if you had a good reason he would come around.

I know this may not be what you want to hear. But I wouldn't tell him. Just pretend like it didn't happen, don't bring it up and if it is brought up say you don't want to talk about it. Unless of course you want him to dump you on the spot, which is what will happen. no man wants a woman who lies, nor a woman who is a hypochondriac. Which if you are lying to people about a medical condition that you don't have to get attention (that's what you did) you are a hypochondriac. I'm sorry if this upset you at all. I'm too much into honesty to even help you. Obviously you just wanted attention. You should tell him and he'll probably break up with you, because if you lied about that what other lies are you willing to tell. People really suffer from that and I think you are selfish for ever saying something like that. Volunteer at a hospital so that you could see how much people actually suffer from this.

actually since u have brain tumor u have no choice but to tell him:therefore, u have to wait and see what might happen knowing that ur on da safe side and u told him and in addtion try to make up with him by appealing him again but slowly so that he can take his time

you just have to flat out tell him the truth, and apologize.

I am not a psychologist or mental health professional, but I do know that compulsive lying is indicative of some mental issues. Another issue may be that you have a need to have other people feel sorry for you.

In any event, you eventually are going to have to tell the truth and apologize. You may also indicate to your bf that you are going to seek counseling for your compulsive lying and/or need to gain the sympathy of others.

Well you have several options-Tell the truth-Fake a healing or pretend you have an evil twin sister who pulled a prank on him and died in a car crash. Sound kind of dramatic? Wow, I can only image how that happened. The easyest thing to do would be to tell him you don't. Usualy lying would be the easyest option, but then you have to deal with equaly bad consequences. Wait, is this some sort of metaphor?

Wow thats a very bad lie.....Maybe u mean it as a joke or to get attention from him. But either way he'll probaly be too upset if u tell him. U should tell him the thruth though...good luck.
