I'm 13 and i have a 5 pound dumbell, a treadmill, an ab lounge, and access to tennis court and basketball court. What are things i can do with those to get fitter.

Well, ask your doctor first.

To get thinner and gain muscle takes lots of time. Cut down on junk food and read the ingredients in food. For example: ice cream has cream, sugar, milk, etc. in it. the lists of ingredients should be fairly short. Drink lots of water, not Gatorade or "energy drinks" because those have lots of sugar in them.

Play tennis and basketball a lot. It is generally more fun with friends.

If one of your parents exercises a lot (my parents do) then ask them for some exercises using the dumbbells.

Run on the treadmill for a while and do some crunches on the ab lounge.

DON'T OVERDO IT!!!!! Do a little bit of exercise every day and add more and more every day. Eventually you will be thinner and have more muscle.

run on the tread for 30 minutes, aim for it being equivalent to a distance of 3 miles. while your watching tv and not active lift the dumbell constantly. definitely try lifting a lot, b/c muscle tissue burns 50 times more cals than fat tissue. try running 3 miles on pavement tho, treads dont work as well i think. invest in a jumprope, they are really good for your lungs and your heart, try doing 2 min of slow jumping, 1 min fast, and repeat for 30 minutes or 3 10 minute sessions if you cant do 30. eat protein. Have 2 cups of whole grain pasta with sauce you like(i like the no salt added kind) and toss in chicken strips like oscar mayer's southwestern style chicken. It's really delicious and both food taste great together and the chicken is pre-cooked you just have to microwave it.

Drink more water and get rid of the coke's dont drink cokes. Buy a protein shake and drink it before doing exercise also buy bigger dumbells you need to get some heavy ones to improve your muscles faster.
