Depends on the dog and cat. I have a friend with two dogs and two cats and they all get along fine. Sometimes the cats are too aggressive for the dog, or the dog scares the cat. Sometimes they ignore each other, and behave properly.

My dog and cat are best friends. They cuddle to sleep and play and wrestle together. They even share food. (Dog is medium sized, a Dalmation, cat is...well ... young cat size)

But, like people, every animaly has different personality and likes/dislikes.

Best results are if you have a friendly, loving dog that gets along with other animals and then you introduce a young kitten into the equation. The kitten will grow up used to the dog and most dogs (esp. females in my experience) will take to the kitten rather well, almost motherly.

This working for me and others I know, hope it helps!

Depends on the dog.My dogs have never been around cats but they seem to hate them. When they see one they bark and growl, they weren't raised with them. Some dogs like cats whether or not they were raised together,i had a boston terrier, got him when he was 18months old,he and my cat at first hated eachother but became friends. The dog kept trying to bite my baby so I had to give him up,but he liked the cat.

In most cases, dogs do get along with cats, especially if they are raised together. My Chihuahua and my cat are best buddies, and play with each other all the time.

Our dog grew up with our cats so he likes them. He even tries to play with them once in awhile. A dog will only like cats if he or she grows up with them.

If they are raised together, i think they can be fine. my dog and cat are fine together, and they even play together. They should be supervised at first, especially if the dog is large and capable of killing the cat.

Yes, on the whole, they find them delicious. That's why Purina is coming out with a cat-flavoured dog food.
