I'd start by feeding her.....she's probably hungry.

If the kitten was up a tree she is definitely more than two weeks old and if she ate from a plate or bowl she has been weaned by the mother. Since her eyes are still blue she is probably less than eight weeks old.

It is best to clear this up with a vet visit as soon as you can - like tomorrow or Saturday. She needs to have first kitten shots if she is old enough, worming, testing for FIV and feline leukemia. Get some Max kitten food (canned) as this will fill her little tummy up and make her feel better.

You can also get a bottle of Rescue Remedy at a health food store for $15. You shake the bottle well and put it on the fur between her ears three or four drops, at least four times a day. If she hides under a bed you can put drops on a small cloth where she is hiding out. "Refresh" the cloth with drops four times a day. This will go a long way to help relieve her distress at losing her mother and siblings and make her bonding with you go easier. Young kittens are not neurologically mature enough to control the extension and retraction of their claws so don't worry about the claws out issue for now.

I found some feral kittens also. They didnt meow, they hissed instead when they are scared. The kittens only meowed when they were trying to call each other. So maybe she's scared, or maybe she's calling to her siblings/mother. I am sure she's scared when you pick her up; it sounds like she is not used to being handled by humans.
I also suggest seeing a vet to find out how old she (or he) is, and how healthy. If you plan to keep the kitten, vets usually have "kitten packages", so you can get her (him) tested, vaccinated, maybe even spayed/neuteured later on for slightly less than the procedures cost when done separately.
It sounds like your kitten is very young, I personally would start by buying her kitten replacement formula instead of normal food. Its called KMR, and you can find it in the cat section at Petco or PetSmart. Cats usually dont eat until they are at least 4 weeks of age, and they are usually weaned at 8-12 weeks of age. I also suggest keeping her warm, most little kittens are used to huddling with other kittens/cats and they need a lot more warmth than humans do.
Good luck to you. Here's a site that may help: http://www.feralcat.com/raising.html

~The kitten must have wandered off by herself. Post some signs on your street. Call the Humane Society to see if anyone is looking for a kitten like that. Ask them what to feed the kitten while their on the phone.
If you see other kittens that size, that's probably the rest of the litter.
If all else fails, keep her or find her a home. The kitten is afraid, that's why she meows and hides. Get a litter box and I think you should only be giving the kitten milk at this point.
If the kitten farts a lot, it's because the food you're giving her is too strong for her stomach.
Good luck.~

If she is eating adult cat food then you can feed her canned or dry kitten chow. If she is too young- then you can find kitten milk in the pet aisle at the grocery store. You can also find a disposable litter box in that aisle. Since she is so timid a cardboard box w/ a few holes is a great "hiding spot" for her- and if she tears it up it's ok. Place it in a warm quiet spot. Take her and hold her from time to time & she will eventually get used to you. If you don't plan to keep her, look for a shelter that does not put kittens to sleep. Web is a good place to start.

Bottle feed her with some kitten milk that you buy at the pet store. Then, get out a heating pad and switch it on medium a slip it under a cozy blanket for her to slepp on. It will make her feel more secure and she will feel like she's with her mama. The next day, you should call your local vet and ask if they have any mother cats in the adoption centre that are still able to take care of newborns. I hope this helps.

Feed her with some milk in a bottle and don't leave the house often. She's just not used to you yet is all and is very scared 'cause she had been alone all the time. I have a book on kittens and I'll go find it right now and tell you the website. .....can't find the book. But, there's a web page that can help. Go to http://www.felineocicats.com/kittenhelp.htm .

First of all get you a pair of thick work gloves. That way when you pick her up she can't scratch your hands. Next give her some warm milk in either a small bowl or an eye dropper if you have one. Lastly take an old box and put a towell in it along with an old stuffed animal and a clock. The clock sound will keep her comfortable because the sound will make her think it is her mother's hearbeat. Eventually, she will tame down and you can ditch the gloves!

Good Luck

first take her to a vet to find out how old she is and if she;s healthy you might have to bottle feed her, and if she's old enough to eat normal food just get a littler box and a few cans of cat food. And congrats you got a cat! Work with her when your in the room no sudden movements talk softly and sooner then later she'll come around and want all your attention. I've had a few strays become very happy and affectionate health cats.

as she has gto blue eyes this suggests she is very young and needs essential food from mother however if there isnt you need to feed the kitten cimicat a form of cat milk for kittens and wrap a clean warm towel around her to comfort her , hold her quite tight as mother would do this and talk to her quitely . or if you dont know how to look after her take her to a local animal rescue centre

The poor baby probably misses her mom and her siblings. She's probably really scared and is stressed in a new environment. Just feed her, and give her all the love you can. Try letting her come to you. It may take a little time, but once she gets used to everything, she should be ok. Poor baby, has been traumatized in her short little life.
