Citizen/legal resident or not?

If you're hear legally and have established residency, you can get regular financial aid from the gov't. My wife's technically an immigrant since she wasn't born here, but she's a citizen and got all sorts of financial aid.

If you are in the U.S. you can get *private* loans if you have a credit-worthy U.S. cosigner.

Federal money will not be available if you are not a citizen.

First see how many scholarships you qualify for, then look for low-cost private loans.

Yes, but it will be a difficult and long process and you have to have a visa or residency status.
