do not "all of the above" systems of religion swear allegiance to the book those of this world call the "bible"?
now, in a "democracy" the majority rules, is that not correct?
and in their "bible" book isn't there Testimony given that declares "strait is the gate and narrow is the way that leads unto Life and FEW there be who find it"? and Testimony is also given of the "little flock" who would enter into The Heavenly Kingdom.
and further Testimony declares, "seek to enter in at the strait gate, for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and MANY there be who follow that way" ;-(
The Testimonies are Truth! why then would the systems of religion mentioned in the question embrace "democracy"?
quite clear the their "bible" testifies of the MANY(MAJORITY) who follow the "broad way to destruction" and the FEW(MINORITY) who follow The Messiah on "The Way to The Truth of The Life".
should not "democracy" rather be called "dem'on'ocracy"?

ishvarlan, jw's also believe that "jesus" is the proper name for The Messiah, and that before your version of "jesus" was born as a man he existed preveiously as Michael the archangel ;-(((((( here's a link for you www.asimpleandspirituallife.org/lettherebelight.html

Hi. Nice to see someone reasoning. We Jehovah's Witnesses are politically neutral as we support Jehovah. The Bible tells the whole world is lying the power of the Wicked one. Case in point, When Satan offered Jesus the world if he did one act of worship to Satan, Jesus declined. Notice Jesus did not say You do not own the world. My Grandmother used to tell her doctors that she Voted, for Jehovah. This is the same reason why we do not Pledge Allegiance to the Flag, and Why we would not Hail Hitler.
Also we are do not pledge allegiance to the Bible either. We follow the Bible as a symbol of our allegiance to Jehovah. Giving our allegiance to anything is Idolatry.

A couple of reasons. First, the best defense when you are backed into a corner is to launch an strong offense. That way, while the other side is busy defending itself, it might forget what it was fighting for in the first place. Second, there is a phrase in psychology called "cognitive dissonance" and its premise is this: the human mind, when confronted with two conflicting ideas, experiences dissonance. In order to resolve this condition, one of two things must take place. Either, the human mind outrightly rejects the idea that conflicts with the one it has held for the longer period of time. Or, if the person tends to be open minded, he/she may try to reconcile the two ideas. Eventually, as they see the validity of the opposing viewpoint, and if they come to realize that it makes more sense than their previous perception, they may even reject the old stance in favor of the new. This is what "apostates" have done. This is why the WT sternly warns its adherents to stay away from "apostates", from Bible reading alone, from "Christendom", etc. The WT understands that adherents will see it for the lies it promotes if they are able to see things from another perspective and to find out that the WT has been lying to them, not only about itself, but about the nature of God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, "Christendom", "apostates", the Bible, and the Gospel message.

I am so confused by this statement/questions. What is your point? What does democracy have to do with the Bible?
Democracy is 1 vote per person. The rule of the many. So, what is your point in regards to the Bible? The faiths you mentioned use the Bible as their "main" source of inspiration and for the foundations of their faiths.
What are you associating government with faith?
Instead of quoting passages you say are "testimonies," why not ask your questions directly--- especially if you are seeking information and not to start a "fight."

Jehovah's Witnesses do not get involved in politics and do not embrace any political party. They are for God's Kingdom and his Kingdom alone. They embrace Theocracy.
They do not vote, go to war and are neutral in the worlds affairs no matter what country they may live in.

I can only speak for the christian religion. It embraces democracy because it values personal choice above all other things. Jesus died so that people could choose him or not. It is their choice. He does not force it.

Why don't you move to the Middle East if you think theocracy ought to be embraced, as you seem to indicate in your question?
