Of course you should... Just because you don't speak with your ex doesn't mean you can't be polite. If anything, it gives you an opportunity to show the mom that you are a mature adult, and if you are doing great you can always share what is great in your life. (That way, if she talks to the ex, she may tell them how wonderful you are doing without them in your life)
