It was the whole kit and caboodle. I just picked up the book (The Tao Te Ching) and started reading, and I just thought, "wow, this is exactly what I thought myself, just written in a much more eloquent way!"
That said, I do disagree on a few small points I'm sure, but I feel I would be wrong to take it all too seriously!
I'm a Taoist :)

Look at the base, Research all different religion and then decide which ones true and which u should follow. Just because u r born and inherit a certain religion ...it doesnt mean that u have to follow that. Once u got the knowledge off al the religion....u will be able to decide...whether you should be a Muslim, Christian, Buddhist or any other religion. Although i know u cant become a hindu ....unless u r not born in a hindu family. Good luck.

Religion/Spirituality is very personal to each individual. While no religion is perfect, it's best to find one which you develop a personal connection to - which makes sense to you. My beliefs comprise of Buddhism, Taoism and Christianity. For the most part, I associate myself with the Buddhist religion, because of its philosophies and openness. Buddhism allows me to keep all of my beliefs and not condemn me for them. But I don't really consider myself a Buddhist, even though I actively practice Tibetan Esoteric Buddhism meditation.

For me, religion would be something which leads me in all aspects of life. Religion is not something which is done only one day in the week, or that promotes morally wrong beliefs. Religion should always be there for you and lead you in life. It incorporates all aspects of life, and gives you a mental feeling of connection with something not explained in terms of worldy things. Good luck!

The light draws me like a magnet. It also exposes to open gaze the truly horrible, sinful person that I am and although my naked soul shrinks from this, I know God is revealing my true nature in order to help me truly repent and so keep me from the shades of darkness that try to swamp me. Someone earlier answered about loving the freedom of Satanism / devil worship. There goes a person who loves the darkness. God's children flee to the light. Jesus said, "I am the light of the world". It was also testified of him, "In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it." Understand something of who Jesus is, and you will see that wonderful light. In a sin-darkened world, it is heaven on earth to walk in that light.

Islam is right for me because it's the truth everything in Islam makes sense, there is nothing in the holy Quran which does not make sense to me, and its a religion of peace why wouldn't i want to be part of this beautiful religion.
yes and i want to know why 'smiling forever' is getting thumbs down, he did not insult anyone he is just saying his comment just like what you are all doing.
yes you can give me as much thumbs down as you want, if it makes you happy for a second.

It's more than religion. It is relationship with Jesus Christ. It is a God who cares about me and every little intimate thing in my life. He listens to me when I come to Him in prayer. I can tell Him about the littlest mite detail. He knows when I'm sad or glad. He is the only One who laid down His life to save me and all mankind. Then proved He had completed His work by rising from the dead bodily. He speaks to me through His word. Sometimes He uses that still voice only I can discern, but I know when it's Him.

All (at least most) religions teach that you should be a good person. I find that Christianity is the only one that offers living POWER to accomplish that. A leopard can't change its spots, but God can change a leopard.

I'm 24 now and after being born into a white, Catholic family, I recently discovered Buddhism to be my religion. I just feel that the Buddhists' ideals and beliefs run closest to my own personal beliefs.

The emphasis given to worshiping and pleasing my deities. My deities are what's important. My religion just gives me knowledge about them, ways to worship them, and other people who share my beliefs to interact with.
