Because the story of Jesus is made up and taken from so many different religions and myths. Christianity is no different than any other religion throughout history, the ones which easily spread were groomed to spread easily, by taking parts of other religions and assimilating them into their own. Same thing why so many of the Christian religious holidays are the same as the earlier pagan religious dates. Take Easter for example taken from Eoster, similar fasting, etc.
Jesus had the same chance of existing as the son of God as Hercules as the son of Zeus. Hence no continuing story from 13 to 21, and the rest is a farce as well.

I don't know and neither does anyone else. There will be those that claim it is because the bible is untrue but that logic simply is not logical. It can still be true and miss that information. There will be those that say that God did it for this and that reason. They have no idea what God's reasons were as those reasons are not stated anywhere. That is also an illogical answer. This is one without an answer for now.

My understanding is Jesus went around gathering information from travellers, and even travelled himself. And the whole time said stuff like his time wasn't now. It's interesting that really the first 30 years of his life is undocumented, but to be a rabbi you must be 30. But really if he was the son of god, you think that he would start helping people as soon as he could and spreading his message of "love and joy"

The men who wrote the Bible lived in the middle east and it has been rumored that Jesus traveled to the far east to study during those years therefore there is no account of those years in the middle east.
