All I ever see are answers that are one side or the other, or the wimpy fence wafflers (e.g., believe whatever is best for you). It's all the same thing over and over, regardless of the question -- and the thumbs have nothing to do with whether the answer is cogent; only if it agrees with someone's theology or not. What is the point???

The point is that this is a soap-box. People come here and post their notions of what they think is right or wrong, and frame it in the form of a question. Then they get to laugh at the people who disagree and get puffed up by the ones who do. I'ts great fun, don't you agree?

Do you really think anyone comes here to learn? It does happen, and mostly I've seen it from other Pagans. With Christians, Muslims and agnostics, it's mostly just a jousting tournament.

You've hit the nail on the head. Atheists asks questions about religions and have their answer already in mind, so do Christians, Buddhists, Pagans, etc. I think all of these groups are doing one of two things. Either they are asking questions to get people thinking or, and this is the most likely reason in my opinion, they do it in order to provoke someone or anger them. In other words, a lot of these questions are asked just to tick people off and so that the asker can laugh at the answers they receive.
