Change your shampoo and conditioner! That's the easiest way. Go for something that softens and moisturizes your hair. If it's really bad, using salon ones helps a ton, but also costs a fortune. If you can afford it, though, silky sexy hair really helped me tame the static, and it made my hair really glossy and soft. It was like a miracle!

Another thing you could do is use a frizz or shine serum, which goes on when your hair's dry or damp. Find one with a smell that you like, and that isn't too sticky - I recommend the Paul Mitchell line, they have a light, fruity smell, and don't weight your hair down. I've used the one to straighten, and it worked amazingly.

Hope that helps :) :)

If you live somewhere where it gets cold durring the winter its most likely because of the dry air, just like the humidity in the summer makes your hair frizz.
There are shampoo's you can get that may help. but there is really no cure for static. try to find a non-scented static reducing dryer sheets, i have those. Also try wearing less wool and other fabrocs that cause static.

are you in dry, cold weather? thats probably why its staticky. the best you can really do right now is try the dryer sheets (get some unscented ones!) and maybe some hair sirum like frizz ease will help keep the static down...also try not to wear anything with wool or fleece and brush your hair as few times as possible. also try using a plastic brush rather than one with fine bristles...i hope this helps!

Use a used dryer sheet. Not one right out of the box. Then they won't be as strong but they will still work.

Just put a little John Frida anti-frizz serum in it. Are you charging yourself up by walking on carpet with socks? Could be just the weather too. Also try drying your hair with an ionic blow dryer.

Do you live in an area that gets really cold winters? My hair gets static around this time, too. Your best bet is to pump up the moisture in your hair, either by getting a heavier conditioner, leave in conditioner, and oiling your hair.

it's probably just the weather. it helps if you put in a tiny bit of conditioner, rubbed into your palm, in your hair. also, try gel or mousse while your hair's still wet.
