~How old is your cat? Was it a stray? Is it the cat or it's breath?
We got a stray kitten and he stunk, so we bathed him with flea shampoo, never human shampoo, it dries out their skin causing more problems. If you start giving them baths early enough, they could like it, ours does.
While you have the flea shampoo on your cat, he should be out of the tub, you can keep massaging the shampoo on the cat and it helps keep him calm. Talk calmly to him so that he knows it's okay.
It will take a couple of baths to get the stink out. We towel dry him real well and wrap a warm towel around him while he's dry, you have to keep them warm, then brush him with a clean brush.
If it's his teeth, post that as a question. It's a completely different story.
Good luck.~

I don't know I mean our cats don't stink. Maybe you should try putting some kind of order spray on him or you could try bathing him othough he'd try to scratch you up and hurt you. Maybe he's got a serouis problem and you should take him to a vet.

cats sometimes stink if they are not neutered/spayed. i "fixed" my cat and he quit stinking. if it is difficult to give them a bath, then you can clean the cat with a warm wash cloth soaked in cat shampoo and warm water. it worked for me. good luck. could also be it's breath!

Maybe because it needs a bath. I give my cat a bath every 6 months or when she needs one. I started doing this when she was a kitten, so she doesn't freak out at water.

If it's the cat's breath.....it could be the food it eats or an illness

Your cat stinks all the time because when it licks itself, it creates a odor. You shud try bathing it....im not sure because i am a dog lover.

Give it a bath and buy some good-smelling spray stuff. Even cats need a bath once in a while.

Give it a bath, especially if it is a long hair. I know it sounds weird, but you need to do it. I bathe my Turkish Angora about twice a year. Trim the claws first, for your own comfort, and use a good human shampoo. Keep them warm until they dry completely, or if they will let you, use a blowdryer on the cool setting.
