Does anyone know of artist MARTH NORTH?

I recently caught the end of a television programme on SKY, about a female artist, I should think circa 1900s working in oils - landscape, in what looked like the West Indies I THINK?

Can any one out there throw any light on this, would be most greatful!

On reflection it may have been MARIAN North, not Martha..........anyone know of her?
