why has channel 5 broadcast strength degraded recently? in the brighton area?

picture quality was reasonable on normal reception on terrestial broadcast with a normal aerial and this was improved on freeview, but since the end of December the broadcast strength has become so feeble as to be unwatchable.

It's fine where I am (In essex).
Maybe it has something to do with your ariel?
