Don't listen to Bre.
We're not capable of answering this question. It really is something that only the 16-year old can answer. It's a very personal decision that most certainly should not be left up to a bunch of strangers, here online.
When I was 16, I decided to keep my baby, and it was the best decision I ever made. On the other hand, my father was adopted as an infant, and as far as he's concerned, it's the best decision his biological mother ever made.
FYI, giving the baby up for adoption isn't "disowning" it...It's giving it the gift of a stable, loving family.

If that is what u feel is best for the baby. There are alot of people out there that cant have children of their own and are waiting to adopt. If you feel like you are not ready to be a parent which you may not be a 16 then you should do what u feel is best and that might be putting it up for adoption.

That depends on the 16 year olds. How mature are the father and mother? Are they willing to sacrifice being able to go out with their friends? Can they find good childcare? Are they willing to put the baby's needs before their own? Are they emotionally stable? Do they have supportive families? Are they aware that they might have to put off going to college or do some amazing balancing tricks to take care of the baby while they are in school?

You are asking if a sixteen year old should let another couple adopt the child and the couple is affluent? then the answer from me would be for the sixteen year old to inquire about religion upbringing, other siblings, if the nanny is going to raise the child...material things are not everything for a kid...morals have or should be taught...

No! they are way too young and lack the maturity to care properly for a child,The child should be adopted into a married couple.

no! if you can afford the baby keep her or him. it will be hard but if you can handle and afford to keep her then why "disown" the baby?
