Muslim males are allowed to keep 4 wives but there is a strict condition. All the wives must be treated equally and given their rights. In today's world of struggling life, fulfilling this condition is very difficult while keeping more than one wife. That's why in reality, you wouldn't find one Muslim guy who has more than one wife.
On the other hand, in Christian (Western) society, divorce rate is ever increasing. In US, the divorce rate is near 50%, which is shocking. Mainly because after most marriages, the couple lose interest over themselves and feel interest in other person which eventually ruin the marital relationship.
In Islam, divorce is the least likable thing that has been allowed. Moreover, Islam enjoins to live a happy married life. If the Islamic guidelines are properly followed, it'd be impossible to find divorces in Muslim countries.

Yahoo deleted my Question too...Muslims are allowed to have 4 wives as you you see the % of women became more than men for 5:1 as i knew so there will be many women will be unmarried...you will say what the problem...God knows his creation anything he created ...and in the human being sexual life is something important in the human live right??...so God(Allah) doesn't want these % of women get there sexual life in wrong way which is before marriage so he made each man marry 4 wives but he must take the permission from the previous wife so she can handle it or not

Its a duty" hard job to do" to marry more than one wife but to do that you must be rich and just. Most ppl are not rich or just.

-It is the rule of muslims not of God
-Christians are not to divorce if God put them together ie two baptised persons married in a church in front of Christs' representative-the priest
-Because they do not lead holy lives
