He just got home from a 10 day stay in a cattery and is not being himself. He is eating a lot, meowing a lot ( not distressed but when you stroke him he stops) and is farting something terrible. Should I be stressing? I plan on taking him to the vet in th emorning but if this is serious must i take him now?

He as been de-wormed, innoculated, castrated and had a shot for rabies by the way

~It could be that they were feeding your cat a different kind of food that didn't agree with her. When kittens fart a lot, it's usually because their digestive system isn't ready for adult cat food.
You can call the vet and ask them if it is serious, but I think it's the change in food.
Good luck~

My cat farted all the time when she was little, she has since stopped on her own and is a normal healthy eight year old now. I would give it time, but definitely keep watching him. If it continues, then I'd talk to your vet.

Keep him away from table food especially dairy and feed him dry food only for a while. Make sure he has plenty of water. I'd even go as far as to leave the tub dripping so he can get that extra hydration.
