Yepp Yepp, it is so much fun to embarrass that little angel of mine. She could be in the front of school waiting while she is talking to her friends (like all I have to do is wait around all day) anyway, I will hold out the cell and yell out "Hey Chelsea, It's J-Lo on the phone and she says she wants her *** back". That will usually get her in the car in not time at all. I think it is fun and her friends all wish they had a mom like her. Humor is a good way to bond with a teen, but be aware when the joke is on you.

Like you I do try to be but when I asked my 10 year old she said I was just funny!! Then she did remember the last night of our holiday in Mexico when I won a bottle of Tequila by doing some dirty dancing on stage. I can't even remember what dance I did!!

It's part of our job description. I can hardly wait til the day my son finds me embarrassing... I've been thinking up some pretty funny stuff! (Many years ago when I was married, I showed my stepsons how to do armpit farts in a restaurant. They were a mixture of impressed and humiliated.)

Oh yeah I'm the bad guy.....when my kids aren't allowed to come to the phone because its dinner time, when I don't let them and their friends watch r rated movies, when their friends have to go home because its my kids' bedtime HOW EMBARRASSING!!!!
EVERYONE else is allowed to stay up,watch r rated movies, talk on the phone whenever they want.
I remember feeling the same way about my parents, its the circle of life.

I used to love to kiss my kids goodbye at the school gate. I would wait until a good crowd of their friends had gathered first. I consider it a duty... and still do. Even though theyre grown up I can still make them quake with one good pucker up.

I sang the Micky Mouse Clubhouse song out loud shopping one day, my son is a toddler so he enjoyed it, but it's never to early to try to be an embarrassing parent. Practice makes perfect.

Bound to be - aren't all parents embarassing? I always thought mine were.
Sometimes I can be 'cool' apparently - depending on what I wear - and then I'm ok to be with.
But the reverse question - aren't kids sometimes embarassing too?

easily, they infrequently ever embarrass me. the two my mum and dad are goofy. i like it. they're quirky, & I rejoice with being around them. i admire having a family individuals it extremely is prepared to make dumb jokes out loud in public places & to no longer be afraid of what human beings will think of. Haha! This grew to become into an embarrassing 2d nonetheless. -- One time my dad tried to fart "quietly" interior the theater, it got here out extremely loud & I merely approximately peed myself guffawing, in spite of the undeniable fact that it grew to become into gross.
