Do you think that if I mixed the sweet potatoes with the cream cheese and add the same spices I would put into a sweet potato pie it would turn out okay? I was planning to make brownies for dessert but the store didn't have any brownie mix.

You could use this recipe as a launch pad. I'd use the cream chz, but leave out the butter and 1-2 of the eggs. Then make as usual. I'll bet it will be very good and creamy!

Sweet Potato Pie

1½ cups sugar
3 eggs
1½ cups mashed, sweet potatoes
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 stick butter, melted
½ cup milk
1 deep dish pie shell, unbaked

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Beat together sugar and eggs. Add potatoes, vanilla, and melted butter. Mix, then add milk. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake for 1 hour.
