I am thinking about taking a cruise for our next vacation. my son will be 8 then and I am looking into a 5 night cruise with Royal Caribbean. Will there be a lot of things to keep him entertained? or is this something that should wait till he is older

We are diamond members of RCCL(more than 10 cruises)-have taken children and grandchildren-they have a wonderful kids club which will keep them very busy and entertained all day and sometimes in the evenings- with special programs-when you are docked they are not opened-they also have babysitting staff which are reasonable and bonded... and there is the pool, pee wee golf, in line skating, and rock walls-check with the RCCL.com site for ship description and which of these amenities it has-you'll have a ball and so will your 8 yr. old!

You should check with your cruise ship,,some ships will take your kids for the day or however long you want and totally entertain them,,I know a couple of people who have done it and their kids had so much fun they couldn't wait to escape the parents and go to the "kids area"
