Hey cfrockk,

Yahoo does not maintain genealogy information, however, using their search engine is very powerful to find Genealogy information. A few keywords put into thier search and you have more information than you can handle. Also, the Yahoo search URL can be copied and given to other people in Email, IM, or for example here.

Yahoo also provides various message boards and groups, and many of them are used for Genealogy. Check out the Yahoo Search below, for YAHOO GENEALOGY.

Yahoo has one forum devoted to Genealogy. The real genealogy sites - GenForum and Ancestry - have a forum for each of 8,000 - 12,000 surnames, each state in the USA, 99.9% of the counties in the USA, each province in Canada, each shire in the UK, plus a couple of hundred others for assorted topics and countries.

The US Gen Web has a site for each state and county in the USA. Canadian Gen Web is similar.
