No..... If you don't wash you teeth and things like that . You will get on OK with your gums but if you don't you mite have a few problems in life with your gums. Your gums will start to bleed alot and you will see red thing about your gums . But all this would mean you had gum disease

Yes and no. the extra sugar can be a problem but chewing stimulates jaw muscles and syliva production. The later being important to maintaing a low pH in your mouth to prevent bacterial growth.
