I workout 6 days a week doing weight training and cardio, 30 minutes each. This is the only way that i've seen the scale go down which I am happy for, but want to shed this fat over my muscles. Should I amp up my cardio or take a mild fat burner or both??

First of all using a scale to measure fat is lying to yourself. If you workout 6 days a week and do 30 minutes a day on cardio you are in great shape or if you just started you will be in great shape very soon, don't use additives. When you work out you will build muscle and burn off fat and as this shift in your body happens you may notice an actual gain in weight since muscle weighs more than fat per unit. If you already are in great shape and you want to lose "weight" or bulk than you need to lay off the weight lifting and go more on cardio. There are other more accurate and effective methods to measure ones fat content. The scale should not even be associated with the word accurate when it comes to measuring someones fat content. Fat burning pills also known as "thermogenics" do work but they are A) dangerous and B) have potential to damage muscle at the same time as burning fat. What they do is raise your overall body core temperature which makes it easier to heat up while working out which in turn makes it easier to convert that fat to energy and use while working out. That is the lame mans explanation

Read yahoo news today. The FTC just fined a few major companies about 25 million for false advertising. They included some big name products, like Xenadrine.

The guys at Xenadrine had proven to themselves that a placebo worked better than their pill, yet they kept on selling it anyway.

Skip the pills, find a dietician to advise you on the proper mix of fat, protein and carbs, and talk to a trainer about how to burn off the rest of the fat.

The trainer can help show you the heart rate range you should be in for fat burning. It's much lower than most people would think. Fast jogging builds cardio, but burns oxygen, not fat. Long walks at a brisk pace will allow your body to burn its fat, instead of burning oxygen. It's almost counter-intuitive.
