It is a genetic trait, commonly passed from your Mother's side of the family. I'd look for Male Pattern Baldness and see if it's classified as a disease.

If asthma, high blood pressure or cholesterol runs in your family those could definitely be considered diseases (although controllable).

Well there is Regaine it won't regrow hair, but can stop you losing any more. But I would suggest you don't bother and let nature take it's course. You are more than your hair, it's the person who counts not what's on their head!. I started going bald at 19, I'm 50 now and lost most of it, but I can't say it ever bothered me about losing it. I have been married twice and have 3 children, over the years I have had 47 sexual Partners, so I wouldn't say that being bald was detrimental to my love life!. A lot of Women find bald men very attractive (Patrick Stewart, Shawn Connery, Bruce Willis to name but a few). Anyhow it's not so much a bald head more a solar panel for a Love machine!.

How's it a disease? A disease is something that can kill you. Being bald cannot kill you. Take some prozac and calm down. It's amazing what little things people fret over nowadays...

was your mother's father bald? that's the significant indicator of your future.

it's not a disease any more than blue eyes or chest hair - just a physical trait

It is genetic, and it is possible you will someday go bald. Just remember, comb overs look bad, shave it really short.

It's genetic, but not a disease.

Since it travels through the female lines, look at your mother's brothers - not her father (she inherited from her mothers side).
