It depends on what you do for a living if you have anything to do with working in catering or food service @ least 48hrs from last bout 24hrs in other cases

at least 3 days,iff you work in catering industry, you need to get sample test done , to find out iff you just have a bug or gastro enteritous, and the a clearence cert from your dr to say fit for work,

you need to have stopped vomiting, or pooping for at least 36 hours before you are clear to return to work, without fear of passing the bug on.
