Hormonal change most probably, there is a lot going on inside. During pregnancy a woman's fluid + blood level increases by approx 40% and weight gain is anywhere between 2.5-4stones. Her body is being taxed heavily to support the new growing life.

After the first trimester (12 weeks) the worse phase of sickness and pains such as you are suggesting should ease. Suggestions to ease aches are a nice soak in the bath, followed with body oil to avoid potential stretch marks (Bio oil smells very nice) and to sip on camomile-vanila herb tea, well known to soothe + calm.

In this time in particular, a cuppa to ease getting up in the morning will earn you brownie points (as will tolerance of a sympathetic listening ear is she is less than mellow tempered due to tiredness). I wish you both well in this exciting time.

It could just be shock to her body from all of the changes it is going through however it could be something to be concerned with to be safe have her see a doctor as soon as possible they can explain why she is feeling the way she is and make sure it is nothing serious. Pregnancy can be miserable but you usually dont feel this bad so early on.

Oxytocin can cause ligaments to soften and stretch and this can cause aches; it's intended to that the ligaments in the pelvis can allow the baby to pass during the birth.
But she may have a virus that is causing the aches so get it checked out by your doctor.

I purely gained 12 lbs the entire being pregnant. no longer gaining weight won't be an argument. (dropping weight is) Odds are your infant is probable to be sitting on a nerve inflicting the discomfort. Ask your well-being practitioner next time you talk with him.

Hurts? or tired?? Tired and achy is ok ..it takes an enormous amount of energy to nurture a baby in the early stages, from one cell to almost complete in about 8 weeks...amazing really.
If she hurts? take her to see the GP to check she is ok.
Congratulations!

she's going through major changes: physically, with her hormones and even mentally. this is a big shock on the body. make sure she's eating enough, sleeping lots and drinking enough water.
