I've had a sore throat for over a week now, and the pain was just getting worse. I went to an ENT and it turns out I have a big throat ulcer. For some reason, it hurts a lot more when I first wake up every morning. Could this be because of acid reflux or something? Is acid getting into my throat while I sleep? And maybe that's what's causing the ulcer to stick around for so long? If so, what can I do to help this? I just want this throat ulcer to go away so I can go on with my life. Would it help if I just took a Zantac before I went to bed each night? Any other suggestions on what this could be or ways to treat acid reflux if that's what it is?
