Get tested.
They don't routinely check for drug usage, and even if they did, they cannot disclose it. For a UTI, they test for blood in urine (haematuria), nitrites (indicative of bacteria),protein, etc.
All information is confidential, only you and your provider(s) have access to it. Believe me, you're not the only one doing drugs (I assume?). And believe me, whatever you're worried about, I guarantee you they've seen worse!
Hope this helps.

If they are testing you for a UTI then that's what they are looking for. If it's not a UTI they will try to figure out what the problem is. Personally I don't know it they will detect drug usage when testing for something esle-doesn't seem likely. They do however have to keep your info confidential. My advice-don't do drugs, is it worth feeling scared about going to the doctor? Be healthy and good luck.

If they aren't testing for drugs then they won't find them. I don't believe a tox screen is part of the normal UTI screen. But I'm not a medical professional so I don't know for sure. I also don't see why they'd care if they found drugs on board. I'm sure many medical patients are under the influence of something.
But if you want to avoid the doctor, you can try drinking cranberry juice. good stuff, not just the cocktail or the ones mixed with other juices. make it as pure as they come and drink a lot. There are also some over the counter things that contain cranberries. AVO is one I think. These fight UTI's.
But just see a doctor already!

They are not going to test for drugs, if you ask to have a urine culture for bacteria. The drug test is an extra test that costs, and they don't do it unless specifically for a particular reason (testing athletes for drugs, etc). Plus I guess all such info is confidential. And you must be tested, because you could have a number of things, and in fact you should inform the doctoer for any drugs you have taken, so that they can help you with any medical problem. I know you won't, but at least have a urine analysis! They only check standard urine values, PH, etc, and bacterial presence.

I had UTI's at least every 3 months for years. When they do the test, they don't look for drugs, they look for the things that cause the UTI. Your information is confidential anyways. But just a little bit of advice.....don't do drugs, they are bad for your body, can cause all kinds of health problems, and they will ruin your life. If you don't do drugs, you will feel much better about yourself, and you won't have to worry about them showing up in a urnine test.....problem solved.

They don't test for drugs when they test for UTI's and it you told them you were taking illegal drugs they couldn't report you anyways...doctor/patient confidentiality. Drink a lot of water or cranberry juice. Good Luck!

Don't know if you would be at risk for getting nabbed for drugs, but UTI's are excruciating if you let them go, so you need to get antibiotics. Maybe Planned Parenthood could help? I know they're pretty good about confidentiality, and they may treat something like that...not sure.

Here's a home remedy that worked for me.
Mix 1/2 tablespoon of baking soda with 6 oz. of water. I drank 4 glasses per day (space them out, don't drink them all at one time) for 3 or 4 days. The baking soda raises the PH in your urine and kills the bacteria. You should start to feel better after the first day. Good luck.
PS - I think they would have to specifically test for drug use in order to find it in your urine.

first of all... owwww I've had that before
drink tons of water and cranberry juice, it will absolutely help.
they won't test for anything extra, just the task at hand. once tested you will be prescribed a little something to speed up the healing process. even caffeine and sugar will increase your pain or cause reinfection. drugs will hurt it worse. go cold turkey and take up drinking tons of water and jogging instead, it will make you happy as well as bee yoo tee full =)
good question
