Go to the pound or humane society, and get a dog there. You will literally be saving a life, and the animal will love you forever.

Unless you're interested in becoming a breeder or hunting with the dog, you may be better off with a mixed breed as a pet. Purebred, pedigreed dogs often have physical defects that get inbred by breeders who accept the defect because the animal has characteristics that let it score high in judging. Mixed breeds don't usually have these defects. They also often have great temperaments, which makes them great as pets.

Dont get one from a pet store! Look for a dog at a shelter or get one from a reputable breeder

Make sure you buy from a good breeder but I highly recommend rescue.

Not sure but have you heard their bark???? Just want to make sure you know what you're getting into. I heard one bark the other day for the first time in my life (It's obviously been sheltered!!) and it shook me to the core...they sound like sealions!
