My boyfriend has these pains and there both on his left side, could it be serious?

I would seriously recommend talking with his doctor because they could be signs of a heart attack. If it's bad enough to concern him, and even if it's not, it wouldn't hurt to at the very least call his doctor and them know what is going on.

Yes, it could be serious. Like the others are saying, take him to the ER as it might be signs of a heart attack.
If it's not that, it could just be that his spine needs to be realigned, so he would need to go to a chiropractor for that.

We need to listen to our bodies warning signs. Just to be safe take him to the EMERGENCY ROOM.
