Recently i took a slight break from the gym. instead of going 5 days a week, i went 3 days a week, doing 20 mins of ellipical training. i did this for 3 weeks. NOW! im back at the gym 5 days a week doing cardio 40 mins a day, elliptical for 20 mins and stair stepper for 20 mins.. Before i took the break, i was losing weight on average of a pound/week. Now that i started back with my old, intense routine, im losing weight fast now. Faster then before.. whats going on here?? Mind you, my diet has not changed any

more than likely what is happening is you're metabolism has increased. the higher you're metabolism the more calories you burn, even when you're sleeping. if you're concerned about it I would suggest consulting a physician.

You simply taught your metabolism to hold you steady on three days of cardio a week. Now that you've increased your trips to the gym, your metabolism is tricked into burning more fat. It's still burning at the same rate at 3 days a week.

Keep up the cardio to lose the weight you need to. Keep a steady diet to keep your metabolism high. But you may also want to add weight training to maintain weight loss. Bigger or denser muscles burn calories with less effort than smaller muscles do. All three elements: good diet, cardio, and weight training are important for permanent weight loss.
