Depends on the girl. I usually say that to everyone and it doesnt mean I fancy everyone. It might be one of those phrases people say without thinking about it

It kind of depends on what else is in the text msg. I am a girl and I dont text guys I "fancy" starting with a Hey You!, but I suppose if I did I would be subtly flirting. Not trying to make it obvious, but just enough where it grabs your attn. It sounds like the girl is excited to sound from you, I would say yes!

not really they are just happy to talk to you and you know what my title on my phone that shows up at the beginning of every message i write is Hey You!!! then i start my real message people have different ways of saying something to someone else!!

It is definately stronger than Hi and means that you are something special for some reason.
When you meet her, does she touch your arm at all with her fingertips?
If she, or any woman does this...take a good look...she might be the one!

Never thought about that, but I think I do only use that phrase when I fancy someone mmmm.
